We are now expanding our treatment arsenal to help couples and single women to have children.

Egg donation provides the opportunity for those who do not have viable eggs, eg due to illness or a relatively high age, to get pregnant and have children through IVF.

For some years now, we have treated both heterosexual and lesbian couples, as well as single women with insemination with donated sperm. This has resulted in many pregnancies, births and proud parents.

From January 2019, IVF treatments with donated sperms, eggs and embryos is also available in private clinics - treatments previously only performed at public hospitals.

We were the first private clinic in Sweden, after the new law came into force January 1, 2019, to be granted a permit to perform IVF treatments with donated eggs or sperm. The chance of success with IVF is higher than with insemination as seen per treatment. It has taken many years for this long-awaited new law to finally exist, which means that couples, and single women, now have the opportunity to treatment using donated eggs, sperm or embryos without having to go abroad.

If you want to help someone by donating your eggs, you can do so with us. You will be helping someone who doesn't have eggs of their own, or eggs of poor quality, to become pregnant and have children.

You need to be between 23 and 35 years old. Your BMI should also be below 35 kg/m2 and you must not be a habitual smoker. All egg donors meet with a psychologist or behavioral scientist prior to donation. This also applies to anyone who receives eggs. This gives you a chance to discuss your decision of becoming an egg donor and how you can possibly be contacted by the child when it has achieved a "mature age".

The donor is completely anonymous to the recipient and vice versa. In Sweden, however, as a donor, you can not be anonymous to the child conceived through donation. The child has, at a mature age, the opportunity to find out who you are. A prerequisite for this is that the parent(s) have informed the child of its origin - something that the recipient is also encouraged to do. Your data is saved for 70 years.

If you want, you can later contact us and find out if your donated eggs have resulted in the birth of a child and, if so, how many. Your donated eggs can lead to children in a maximum of six families, excluding your own. As an egg donor, you have neither obligations nor rights to any children conceived from your donated eggs.

We also do a health examination and test you for a number of infectious diseases. A donor must not have a substance abuse problem, nor can there be any serious inherited diseases in the donor's family. If you have children of your own, it's a bonus, but not a requirement.

We then find a couple or a single woman who can receive your eggs.

The basis for all donation is, according to law, altruistic, i.e. your reasons for donating are compassion and the desire to help others. You get a flat rate for out of pocket costs such as the working hours you lose. The compensation is based on the so-called base amount, and is at the moment SEK 11 825. If you can show that your income loss is greater than the standard amount, the excess amount may be reimbursed in addition.

We start with a hormone treatment, in the form of injections which you can take yourself at home. The injections are administered for about 10-12 days. During this stage, we will need to do ultrasound exams usually once to three times, to see that the eggs are maturing. After about 12-14 days we will perform the egg retreival. You will be informed about how this is done during a preparatory visit. After that, it won't be long before someone else will be receiving them.

If you choose to donate your eggs, we assume that you also want them to be taken care of in the very best possible way. Therefore, you should turn to us.
